Bali Beach: From Past to Present

Originally a quaint fishing village, Bali has undergone significant transformations over the years, evolving into a vibrant tourist destination while still retaining its traditional charm.

Historical records indicate that Bali's history dates back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlement in the area since the Minoan period, around 2000-1600 BCE. During this time, Crete was part of the prosperous Minoan civilization, known for its advanced culture and maritime trade.

Throughout the centuries, Bali witnessed the influences of various civilizations, including the Venetians and Ottomans, due to its strategic location along the Mediterranean coast. These cultural exchanges left their mark on the village, reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and customs.
